Finding Flow

Flogo TV:

January Flow

Here at Flogo we noticed the challenges of finding our flow this week. Our regular routines were disrupted over the festive period.

Now we are re-finding our focus, finding ways to reinvigorate ourselves, & sink in to enjoying the lives we have created. This got us thinking about flow, & finding flow during these colder winter months.

Flow is a state of consciousness. Our Flogo philosophy (& tag line!) is to Be in the Moment. When we are in our flow state, we are in the moment. The two things are inextricably linked: flow & presences.

Flow is “a state of concentration or complete absorption with the activity at hand and the situation. It is a state in which people are so involved in the activity that nothing else seems to matter” (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi).

Flogo Friend, Giles Moffatt, found flow while climbing Everest.

Check out our film ‘Flow Masterclass 1’ (above, just 6:30 mins long). In it Giles says “Climbing doesn’t ‘allow’ you to be in the moment, climbing requires you to be in the moment”.

It’s a good reminder that in the struggle, we can find flow. In the cold and dark we can still find flow. In the hard times, flow is actually one of our most useful tools.

We love

Here are some things the Flogo team are loving this week:

Charlie is loving re-watching Ted Lasso! And also getting back to exercise again.

Zack is loving golf.

Joanna is loving the Rye Runners beginners course, Vinted clearouts, and Escape Rooms.

Rosalind is loving clear night skies and reconnecting with old friends.
